The MOD has an established processes to engage with industry and ensure effective collaboration.

The Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) is the official platform and primary digital gateway for businesses seeking to engage with the MOD. As a centralised “one-stop-shop” for all MOD procurement, the DSP allows suppliers to register for free, browse opportunities valued over £10,000, and receive automated alerts tailored to their specific industry sectors. By registering, your business can securely download tender documents, submit formal bids, and participate in early-market engagement exercises. The platform is designed to provide a transparent and streamlined procurement process, offering a direct route for both prime contractors and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) to compete for requirements throughout the defence supply chain.

In addition to this you can access government-wide opportunities on the ‘Contracts Finder’ site at: www.gov.uk/contracts-finder.

Submissions made through the DSP are reviewed by subject‑matter experts within the Department and, where appropriate, can inform further discussions or engagement through our innovation, science and technology, or commercial teams. This approach ensures that all potential solutions are considered in a consistent, transparent, and efficient manner.
