SUV IPT is responsible for the acquisition (procurement, support and disposal) of military light vehicles and protected mobility vehicles across defence.
SUV IPT is truly through life with all the skills and expertise across the procurement cycle to provide a genuine whole life approach to the provision of vehicle capability to defence.
SUV has an exciting and challenging forward programme of projects providing and supporting light vehicle solutions for defence including:
- Utility and Light Support vehicles: programmes include Operational Utility Vehicle System (OUVS)
- Special vehicles: vehicles for bomb disposal and other operations
- Protected Mobility

- Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS)
- Novel drives - especially hybrid electric drives
