Medical and General Supplies IPT provides a centre of excellence for
the provision and support of general, medical, dental and veterinary material and equipment. M&GS IPT procures and commodity manages over 200,000 line items of general stores for the Armed Forces and
has a wide range of customers, including Other Government Departments (OGDs).
M&GS IPT provides a diverse range of requirements ranging from fasteners, bearings, flags, ropes and electrical components to blood related products.
A major part of M&GS business is to support every UK military formation across the globe, and provides flexible and responsive support to deployed operations.
In addition to providing commodity ranges, M&GS IPT contracts Industrial Prime Vendors to provide a number of value added services, such as rationalisation, supply chain improvements, customer support and technical support.
