The DFG is responsible for the efficient and effective provision of fuels, lubricants and gases to the Armed Forces worldwide. It is the technical focus for fuel handling equipment and is the licensing authority for MoD fuel installations.
DFG is the expert technical focus for all fuel matters and its scientists set and monitor specifications for all fuels, lubricants and gasses for MoD.
Business areas include:
- Aviation, marine and ground fuels and lubricants
- Industrial gasses
- Licensing authority for fuel installations
- Sponsor of the OPA – Oil and Pipeline Agency
- Operation of the Oil Fuel Depot pipeline and wharf in Singapore
- Management of fuels in overseas garrisons
- Taking the lead in cross Government procurement of fuels and lubricants
- Operation of UK Naval Oil Fuel Depots (wef 1 Apr 08)
