BI&E Gp is a Group within DE&S’s Land Equipment Cluster. It comprises of three IPTs:
- Expedition Campaign Infrastructure (ECI) IPT
- Battlefield Utilities (BFU) IPT
- Manoeuvre Support (MS) IPT
It provides all current and future power, fuel, water and expeditionary campaign infrastructure as well as manoeuvre support asset to the UK Armed Forces, specifically within the Land environment.
BI&E Gp comprises all the skills and expertise across the procurement cycle to provide a genuine whole-life approach to the provision of infrastructure and manoeuvre capabilities to defence.
As well as supporting in-service equipment, BI&E Gp has an exciting and challenging forward programme of infrastructure and manoeuvre projects for defence, including:
- Joint Operational Fuel System (Future Fuel)
- Future Power
- Staff Working Environment
- Temporary Deployable Accommodation
- Dismounted Counter-Mine Capability
- BR90 Capability Sustainment Programme
- TERRIER
The Group is also managing a range of Urgent Operational Requirements (UORs) in support of current operations.
